Renewal energy and “green tariff”

IC ECOENERGY took part in the second how-to seminar on problems of efficient implementation of renewal energy and green tariff projects, which took place in Sidney conference hall of Hyatt hotel in Kiev on December 17.

The seminar was organized by Fuel Alternative, a consulting company, working on alternative fuel and energy market. The event was opened by Vitaliy Daviy, head of Association of Alternative Fuel and Energy Market

Participants of Ukraine (APEU), who addressed the audience with an opening speech. Vitaliy Daviy greeted the participants and told about the problems with practical realization of renewal energy projects and the ways of their solving. In the course of the sector-specific professional event, Head of the Secretariat of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex Oleg Dudkin told about current legislative initiatives in the field of renewable energy, green tariff and the prospects for their implementation. In his report, Alexey Orzhel, a NERC representative, described the procedure of getting the green tariff by renewable energy enterprises and told about the peculiarities of the financial cooperation between green power producers and “Energorynok” government enterprise. Alexander Karamushka, executive director of Ukrhydroenergo all-Ukrainian association, shared his practical experience of “green” tariff usage.

Alexander Parshyn, director of Scientific-expert center of National Agency of Ukraine on Ensuring of Efficient Use of Energy Resources, told the participants about the mechanism for getting tax credit by renewable power companies.

Vitaliy Radchenko, a CMS Cameron McKenna LLC lawyer, told about legal obstacles for “green” tariff and the ways of their overcoming. The seminar participants pointed out, that both businessmen and the state apparatus of Ukraine are becoming more interested in renewable energy industry.
